The Whitley Hypoxystation range offers precise control of oxygen, carbon dioxide, humidity and temperature, creating the physiologically relevant conditions for cell culture. In addition, customers have the choice to personalise their Hypoxystation as each comes with a variety of options and accessories to accommodate unique working conditions.
Recently, we have made the following options/accessories available:
- Whitley Trolley Storage Unit
- Motorised Height Adjustable Trolley
- Whitley AsPROvac
- Whitley Transfer Box
Keep your consumables, notepads, spare lab coat and pens close to hand with the Whitley Trolley Storage Unit. This new storage unit has been specifically developed to provide storage when using the Whitley Motorised Height Adjustable Trolley. Up to two shelves may be positioned inside. The weight of each storage unit is supported on its own castors - so its weight is not supported by the trolley frame. Storage cupboards are independent of the trolley structure, so may be purchased at any time.
Please note that the storage unit door may be hinged to open either to the left or to the right, but this must be specified when ordering.
Motorised Height Adjustable Trolley The Motorised Height Adjustable Trolley allows each user to adjust the vertical position of the workstation to a comfortable, ergonomically correct personal working height. This optional trolley is dimensioned precisely to suit the workstation placed upon it, taking up no more laboratory width than the workstation itself. There are two operating methods: a Bluetooth remote control unit and a built-in, hard-wired switch. Some trolleys may be specified flat-packed for optimised transportation costs. |
Whitley AsPROvac
To get rid of liquid waste from inside your Hypoxystation, specify the Whitley AsPROvac for the ideal solution. AsPROvac is an all-in-one laboratory aspirator to ensure biological liquid waste can be aspirated and disposed of quickly and safely. Whether it is the delicate removal of supernatants or the rapid emptying of larger culture flasks, this flexible system has 15 vacuum levels to alter the aspiration speed.
Please note that your Hypoxystation will need a Vacuum Take-off Port fitted but this can be purchased at the same time as the AsPROvac.
Whitley Transfer Box The Whitley Transfer Box maintains stable hypoxic conditions for the transfer of biological samples. This ensures sample integrity with desired O2 and physiological conditions during transport for up to 20 minutes. Designed to facilitate the transfer of cells to external cell imagers, irradiation machines, other workstations, and cryopreservation freezers, the Transfer Box equilibrates to your Hypoxystation’s conditions as you load your samples. Make it easier to maintain integrity and accuracy in your research. |
Whitley Media Conditioner
If you enjoy simplifying your lab experience, you may also be interested in the Whitley Media Conditioner. With the Whitley Media Conditioner (UK Patent No. GB2579704) you can equilibrate your liquid media rapidly and ensure even greater accuracy in your research. Dissolved oxygen levels in liquids are not necessarily the same as in the surrounding atmosphere. When a cell culture medium is taken from ambient air into a hypoxia workstation, it can take a surprisingly long time for its dissolved gases to reach equilibrium with the surrounding modified atmosphere. Now, researchers have an alternative to leaving media to condition for 24 hours.
These are just a few of the multitude of options that we provide. If you have an application that requires hypoxic conditions or need help knowing which of our options may suit your research best, please email us at sales@dwscientific.co.uk or have a look at the products below.
