A recent visit to our headquarters from the enthusiastic students at York St John University sparked an engaging exploration into the diverse pathways awaiting bioscience graduates. With an aim to showcase the host of opportunities available in pursuing a career in bioscience, the morning was filled with informative tours, interactive lab experiences, and invaluable insights into the world of microbiology, manufacturing, and laboratory research.
The students began with a comprehensive introduction to our company. They were warmly welcomed and immersed in the dynamic world of scientific innovation and research that defines Don Whitley Scientific.
One of the highlights of the visit was the hands-on lab experience facilitated by our resident microbiologists. The students delved into a series of engaging practical sessions tailored to complement their university modules: one student commented “Interactive and informative, the lab work linked with our uni module and helped to consolidate the information given.”
Their feedback was resoundingly positive, citing the lab-based activities as particularly enjoyable and educational. The interactive nature of the lab work not only reinforced their academic learning but also sparked new ideas and perspectives.
“Excellent, thorough, I particularly enjoyed the lab-based activities…Thank you so much for hosting our visit.”
